Leave it to my son...

I have posted a couple of Collin's lovely quotes in the past, well this one takes the cake. A couple of weeks ago Cameron Jade, my niece, was here playing with the kids. Tyler and I were working in the yard as we started to hear a little scuffle between the kids. Then we heard something that will go down as the FUNNIEST Collinism ever. His face went red and you could tell he was trying to think of the worst thing that he could possibly say to Cameron Jade. And here it came,
"I'm going to punch you in the face with my WIENER!"
I had to turn around and walk the other way just to keep him from seeing me laugh. I couldn't believe that had come out of my sons mouth. Where in the world did he come up with that? He finally made it to the naughty chair for that one.

You Don't Ask

The other night as Collin was heading off to bed I said where is my hug and kiss. He proceeded to walk away and pretend that I hadn't said a thing. I then asked if I could have a hug and a kiss. He slowly turned around and looked at me, pondered what I had just asked, and then said "No Thanks," then ran off to bed. I thought Tyler was going to die from laughing so hard. I couldn't believe it, where did my little sweet boy go? That was one lesson learned...
You don't ask, you tell you 4 year old what to do!

Day with the Cousins

This past weekend I was lucky enough to have my sisters kids over for awhile. They are so darn cute! I love watching the kids play around and get to know each other better. It's really funny to watch them mimic each other. Collin thought it was so cool to be the older, all knowing cousin. The leader, so to speak. I thought it would be a great idea to put them in the bath and let them play with the tub toys, until it was time to get them out. WOW! You have to be well organized and ready to get the diapers and clothes back on as quickly as possible. I can't imagine what it would be like to have 3 toddlers running around this house full time. To all you women and mothers out there that do this full time, THANK YOU!

Smelling the Roses

Tonight my sweet husband walked through the door carrying an arm full of roses just for me. I wished that I could say that it was just because he loves me, which I know he does, but there is always another reason to receive roses. It's the "I'm sorry" roses.

I have to say, this is actually the first time that I have received the "I'm sorry" roses. Which after being married for almost 9 years and together even longer is pretty darn amazing.

Thanks Honey! They are just beautiful!

Button Wreath

I promised that I would take a picture of the button wreath that I made at Girls Craft Day this past weekend.

Here it is....
I've just begun looking into ideas for our next Craft Day. If any of you have ideas, please let me know. I would like to have at least two more craft days before the 4th of July. I really enjoy our Girls time together. Thanks to all those that came and brought a potluck item. I can't wait for our next Craft Day!

Girls Craft Day!

Saturday morning we held our monthly, not so monthly, Girls Craft Day. We started our time off with some fresh fruit waffles and eggs delight for breakfast. This time around we made a button wreaths or button picture frames. I was nervous they might turn out a little on the "UGLY" side. They actually were really cute, easy and fun to make and are a great decoration for any room. I had a really good time and loved our opportunity to catch up, laugh and remember what it is like to be just one of the Girls.

The Kids QUOTES of the day...

Hailey - "I don't need to learn to clean. I'm going to hire someone to clean my house when I grow-up."

Collin - "Mommy, last time when the dinosaur was in our house, he POOPED! It was gusting (disgusting)."

Where do kids come up with stuff like that?
